I was eager to start working on this quasi-horror project where you can never quite tell if the stories being told are true or just the children’s imagination. As a prompt, that initial idea gave me a lot to chew on. I started by improvising on guitar, adding some subtle effects to it, and layering in some natural animal noises. To my surprise, when I sent off an initial draft, KeganExe told me that it was perfect. So rather than polishing it more, I decided to lean into a more campfire/not-everything-is-perfect vibe.
