“Epiphany” is one movement from my dissertation work Psalms and Meditations. This piece was featured in the the Center for Deep Listening’s year-long tribute to Pauline Oliveros which can be found on their website and relevant social media. This piece focuses intently on the performers’ experiences rather than the listeners. The instructions are designed to encourage meditation and an awareness of the sensation of making music rather than a focus on the sounds being made, inspired by the works of Oliveros and Stockhausen.
