Bad Audience is a piece for five musicians, first performed at my senior recital at the end of my undergraduate degree. It pokes fun at a lot of the audience behaviors that I heard during my tenure as a recording engineer. We hear a lot of coughing, some key-jostling, bag-rustling, and even some off-key singing, all organized into rhythmic patterns playing with the concepts of rhythmic consonance and dissonance.
