Vapors is a group of miniatures for reed trio originally written for Keyed Kontraptions. Each miniature is meant to be straightforward and fairly easy to play, following a single idea or mood representing a different kind of vapor. This piece represents one of the first pieces that I continue to love and think back on fondly. It is one that imagined being playable by a strong high school group as well as by such professionals as Keyed Kontraptions. Ultimately, it’s short, sweet and to the point.
