Bitter Ends – for four hands on and in piano

Bitter Ends

Bitter Ends is a piece for four hands on the piano, originally written for the ZOFO Piano Duet. The first movement uses several inside the piano techniques in order to create an atmospheric sound out which more traditional pitched material arises. The second movement uses more traditional piano playing that devolves into the third movement. The third movement focuses on more modern techniques again, specifically clusters played on the keyboard.
